A New Crypton Home Fabric Collection Debuts at Calico and Anna Elisabeth

These lively Stacy Garcia prints form the basis for two expansive and expertly curated new Crypton collections to the design trade through Anna Elisabeth.

Product designer Stacy Garcia not only knows pattern, she’s known for her patterns. Colors, too. Her new line of performance fabrics for Crypton has plenty of both, and it has just landed at Calico stores nationwide and at the unique trade-only online showroom Anna Elisabeth.

For the successful creative entrepreneur and founder of licensing firm and design house Stacy Garcia, Inc., the new Modern Legacy collection marks her second residential fabric collection for Crypton. She is internationally renowned for her design partnerships with leading manufacturers designing products that span from floor to ceiling for resorts and homes all over the world. She has also partnered with Crypton previously on fabrics for the hospitality and contract markets. Chances are you have enjoyed a Stacy Garcia for Crypton design in a restaurant, hotel or resort without even realizing it.

In Stacy Garcia’s own dining room, Ascend, a pattern featuring cranes makes elegant drapery. A coordinating Crypton chenille called Lush makes dining chairs worry free.

The line is a trove of rich watercolor florals, stippled scrolls, and nostalgic yet elegant damasks. They are all offered at Calico design shops (formerly Calico Corners) ?and online. With Calico?s complimentary in-store and in-home design services, people can have a beloved piece reupholstered, choose a new piece and specify the fabric, or have custom window treatments, bedding, pillows or cushions made, all with the power of Crypton performance technology to resist spills, stains and more. Says Stacy, “We?re thrilled that consumers can discover so much choice, so much customization, and it?s so easy, all in one place.”

The most dramatic print in the line is called ?Ascend?. It features the mythic crane pushing off into flight. This ancient and iconic symbol indicates good fortune across many cultures. Says Stacy, “It feels just right for the start of a new decade. Why not surround yourself with imagery that?s uplifting, forward-looking and hopeful? As for color, look for a mix of saturated jewel tones, nuanced neutrals, soft color washes and surprising combinations. Mineral green, sapphire, emerald, bright ochre, rose & wine are some of the stand-out colors.

At Anna Elisabeth, Stacy Garcia’s Ascend print is partnered with a sienna toned tweed and a soft woven with a subtle tone-on-tone swirl of pool blue.

For design professionals, the new Crypton Home Collections at Anna Elisabeth feature a carefully curated selection of the new Stacy Garcia prints, along with beautiful woven textures, velvets, linen looks and more. Part of the firm’s new Venice Collection for 2020, they are organized for design professionals by color: one book for Vivids and another for Neutrals. A new name in the residential trade-only fabric world, Anna Elisabeth is a division of well known and esteemed supplier Greenhouse Fabrics. CEO and fourth-generation Greenhouse fabrics owner, Brooke Cornetet, honors her grandmother by naming the new brand after her, and by preserving a value she held dear: strong women supporting others. Says Brooke, “We’re excited to present our new line and our two new Crypton Home books, curated by designers especially for designers.”? Says Crypton Home Marketing Director Elise Gabrielson,? “We’re very excited to be involved with Anna Elisabeth, a woman-owned company with fresh ideas about sourcing and design. It’s thoughtfully done, and the books are luxurious. They?ve made it designer-friendly, so professionals can create the layered, textural room designs that are the hallmark of a professionally done home, all in performance fabric.” The Anna Elisabeth showroom is online, so it is available to designers across the country. Once a designer signs up, they can order swatch books, which arrive beautifully packaged and organized.

Born of her passion not merely to forecast trends but also to transform and transcend them, Stacy Garcia’s new line of printed indoor performance fabrics brings designs that are relevant for 2020 and destined to become timeless. Says Stacy, ?When something lasts as long as Crypton, you have to think long term.? In fact, putting her own home where her mouth is, Stacy refreshed her own rooms using the new Crypton prints. The result is a sophisticated yet easygoing space.

Crypton Home fabrics are perfect for dining chairs, office chairs, conference room seating, anywhere that a spill could happen. Stacy Garcia used her own Crypton print on silver klismos chairs around a table in her home office.

To create Modern Legacy, Stacy Garcia explored timeless and classical forms but added an element of surprise. As a result, each pattern is sophisticated and refined but with a contemporary twist. The designer also notes that these patterns specifically highlight advances in contemporary graphic design, melding modern technique with the art of traditional patterning practices.? Says Elise, “You can see how thoughtful these patterns are. That’s what makes them so right for almost any decor and almost any room setting.” She notes how this spirit aligns with Crypton’s vision of making life easier. “Whether you’re a design lover or a design professional, we’re always looking to find ways to make your interiors easy, fresh, to give you a certain quality of life.”
