Arhaus Bottoni bar stools upholstered in out velvet performance fabric
The Garden & Gun Club at the Battery Atlanta celebrates five years by refreshing the interiors with Arhaus Furniture upholstered in our performance fabric
In 2018, the pages of one of the South’s most prized magazines came to life in an exclusive social club setting. Five years later, the Garden & Gun Club at the Battery Atlanta is a mainstay hub for Southern cuisine lovers, bourbon enthusiasts, and Braves fans. It’s no wonder that they decided to mark their five-year anniversary with a posh and timeless interiors update.
Meg Kelly, Founder of Nashville-based Clella Design
Garden & Gun tapped Meg Kelly, founder of the Nashville-based Clella Design for the redesign, and she chose to feature finely-crafted Arhaus furniture upholstered in Crypton performance fabric. This combination is perfect for hospitality because it provides a timeless aesthetic while promising long-term comfort, durability, and ease. A word about the design choices, from the article:
“Crypton makes incredible high-performance upholstery fabrics that are known as much for their beauty as they are for their strength and longevity,” Kelly says – a key quality for any busy commercial space. Arhaus also felt like an obvious choice to the designer. “Arhaus’s high-end furnishings have the essence of heirloom pieces with the bonus of superior durability,” she says. With form and function taken care of by the luxe materials, Kelly could follow her creative instincts.
“When I think of the Atlanta Club, I think of a really dapper gentleman dressed to the nines,” Kelly says. To achieve that look, she knew the primary material to use was velvet.
“I love velvet. It has such a richness to it,” Kelly says. The North Carolina-based fabric company’s Sintra moss was exactly what Kelly had in mind for the restaurant’s banquette revival. “Velvet is so easy to clean, and the addition of tufted detailing gives the space that menswear feel I love,” Kelly says. Matching velvet pillows featuring gold velvet piping have also been deployed, also sourced from Crypton.”
Kelly decided to run the extensive, seamless banquette all along the periphery of this exquisite space rather than breaking the seating up individually. She added velvet performance fabric pillows between tables to add privacy while allowing the space to maintain a feeling of openness, connection, and camaraderie. Kelly upholstered the bolsters with herringbone and houndstooth fabric from Burch Fabric’s Crypton performance fabric collection.
