Meet the Family Tree Collection: Pretty Meets Practically Indestructible

August 7, 2026

There is a new contract fabric collection that has us slightly obsessed. Burch Fabrics just dropped the Family Tree Collection, and it’s exactly the kind of thing we love! Gorgeous enough to make a space feel intentional, tough enough to stand up to real-world commercial traffic.

Take a Closer Look at the New Contract Fabric Collection

Family Tree Collection consists of three patterns that let tradition put down roots in new ways: ArborHawthorne, and Redwood. Each upholstery fabric draws from nature through thoughtfully crafted patterns and gorgeous color palettes.

Arbor is the quiet overachiever. A small-scale diamond that reads classic and composed, offered in seven heritage shades from soft blue to a moody green. It’s the one you specify when you want tailored structure and a sense of enduring elegance.

Hawthorne is the drama queen (affectionately). Inspired by the oversized mural trend and part of the Kim Salmela x Crypton Collection, its five-color palette moves through the seasons and creates a statement piece without trying.

Redwood stands tall, literally, with a bold stripe softened by a subtle woven pattern that adds depth and texture. Available in seven colorways.

All three contract fabrics are made in the USA at Crypton Mills, our textile mill, located in the foothills of North Carolina.

Now, the secret sauce and what makes Crypton the most trusted performance fabric. Beautiful fabric is easy, but beautiful fabric that holds up in a busy lobby, on a restaurant banquette, or a healthcare waiting room is a whole different animal.

Arbor and Redwood are finished with Crypton Fabric, our high-performance contract fabric with a full moisture barrier. Hawthorne gets our Nanotex by Crypton finish because not every commercial space needs the moisture barrier. To break it down easy, spills bead up instead of soaking in, stains wipe away, and odors don’t get to move in and stay.

These contract fabrics are built for the long haul, clocking 100,000 double rubs and designed to shrug off the wear and tear of commercial use. Add in PFAS-free construction, no forever chemicals, and third-party GREENGUARD Gold certification, and you’ve got a sustainable performance fabric you can feel confident in specifying.

That’s the magic of Crypton for high-traffic and commercial spaces. You have the freedom to design a beautiful space, and it is durable. Form and function, no compromise required. You can find Crypton contract fabrics and order memos on Burch’s website.
