Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
1. Fabric Cutting Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate the cutting of fabric yardage according to production schedules and specifications.
- Ensure precise cutting measurements to minimize waste and optimize fabric use.
- Oversee the operation of cutting equipment and tools, ensuring they are well-maintained and functioning correctly.
- Inspect fabric for defects or inconsistencies before and after cutting.
- Ensure all cut pieces meet quality standards and specifications.
- Address and resolve any issues related to fabric quality or cutting accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of fabric inventory, including quantities, types, and locations.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team to reorder materials as needed.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of materials.
- Work closely with customer service teams to understand cutting requirements and priorities.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of cut yardage.
- Identify opportunities to improve cutting processes and reduce waste.
- Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Train and support team members on cutting procedures and equipment operation.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in textiles, fashion, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in fabric cutting, textile production, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of textile materials, cutting techniques, and quality control processes.
- Proficiency in using cutting equipment and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry fabric rolls and cut pieces.
- Standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise cutting tasks.
