Most liquids will simply roll off the surface of our performance fabrics. When a spill happens, quickly blot the surface with a clean white towel.
Scroll or watch the short video below for our recommended cleaning instructions. Our spot cleaning method can be used for most light to medium stains, such as coffee, red wine, crayon, and ketchup.
Use light steam to remove wrinkles. Do NOT iron. Do NOT dry clean. The use of bleach is NOT recommended. Some stains, such as permanent marker, lipstick and nail polish may not be completely removable.
1. Remove any excess mess.
Before spot cleaning, blot up liquids with a clean, soft, absorbent towel. Gently brush or vacuum away any loose dirt or food debris.
2. Start with plain water.
Using a spray bottle, lightly mist the stained area with clean, lukewarm water. Blot with a clean, white towel and repeat as needed. If the stain remains, continue to the next step.
3. Mix your cleaning solution.
Combine 1/4 teaspoon of mild liquid detergent, such as Tide, Woolite, or Dawn dish washing liquid, with 1 cup of lukewarm water.
4. Lightly mist the stain.
Apply a small amount of the cleaning solution to the stained area using a spray bottle. Do not oversaturate the fabric.
5. Gently work in the solution.
Using a soft-bristle brush or sponge, gently work the cleaning solution into the stain, moving from the outside edge toward the center to help prevent spreading. Rinse your brush or sponge frequently with clean water as you work.
6. Use a light touch.
Avoid aggressive scrubbing, which can damage, distort, or mat the fabric fi bers.
7. Blot away the cleaning solution.
Allow the solution to penetrate the stained area, then blot thoroughly with a clean, white towel to remove as much moisture and cleaning solution as possible.
8. Remove any soap residue.
Soap residue can attract dirt, so it’s important to remove it completely. Lightly mist the cleaned area with plain water, then blot with a clean, white towel. Repeat the mist-and-blot process until no soap residue remains. Do not saturate the fabric.
9. Repeat if needed.
For stubborn stains, repeat the cleaning process as necessary. If the stain remains, try one of our professional fabric cleaning sprays.
10. Let it air dry.
Allow the fabric to air dry completely before use.
